Common questions
Q: Who runs programs and events?
A: Our programs and events are fully volunteer-led! Volunteers might be engineers, teachers, artists, tech-enthusiasts, and community builders — passing on their knowledge in a multi-age learning environment.
Q: What does it mean to be a member?
A: To keep costs down, we count on our members to dedicate their time and donations. This might mean utilizing your skills to build new organizational systems around Innovation Treehouse, upgrading software for a better member experience, cleaning up toys, sweeping, matching donations through your company, becoming a monthly donor, and so much more!
Our members’ commitment to Innovation Treehouse is priceless, and through every member’s engagement we are able to provide a family-friendly community where people can access STEM materials at an affordable rate!
Q: How do I join?
A: Come visit us on Side Project Saturdays between the hours of 10am – 2pm. Then check out our Membership Page.
Q: How do I join a FIRST Robotics team at Innovation Treehouse?
A: We require all students, parents, and mentors to be members of Innovation Treehouse. Recoil recruits in June & August. Our newest competitive FLL teams will recruit in August with the start of school.
Q: How much is membership?
A: Our Family Membership is $300 annually from September 1st to August 31st of the following year, with a monthly payment plan available. This Family Membership covers the whole household. If you are an adult with no kids involved in programming, your membership is $10 annually for the same period of time. (That is not a typo. $10! Come share your time and talents with amazing students.)
Q: Are there additional fees?
A: Yes! We do have additional fees for camps, workshops, and the material costs of epic projects. Compared to the rest of the market, our program fees are at a more affordable rate due to our volunteer-led non-profit model.
